Privacy policy and PDPA notice

Last updated 6 October 2026. This explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

1. Who we are

This site is operated by Pillar Advisory, a credit and financing advisory based in Singapore. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean that business.

We are a credit and financing advisory. We do not lend money and we do not make lending decisions.

2. What this policy covers

It covers personal data we collect through this website, through the review questions, and through WhatsApp conversations that start from this site. It is written to meet our obligations under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

3. How the review questions work

Your answers stay in your own browser while you work through the questions. Nothing reaches us until you tick the consent box and choose to send your summary. If you close the page before then, your answers go no further, and we never see them.

When you do send it, your summary is saved to our enquiry records and opened in WhatsApp for you to send. We also record anonymous usage, such as which question people stop at, with no answers or names attached.

4. What we collect

Information you choose to send us. When you send your summary on WhatsApp, we receive:

  • the first name you entered, and a company name if you gave one
  • your answers to the review questions, such as what you need help with, whether you have applied for credit recently, a credit grade band, and an income or revenue range
  • a short reference code showing which page and which advertisement you came from
  • your WhatsApp display name and mobile number, which WhatsApp shows us when you message
  • anything else you choose to tell us in the conversation that follows

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we and our providers may collect your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, and the advertisement or link that brought you here.

Information you give us later. If you decide to work with us, we may ask for documents such as your Credit Bureau Singapore report, identification, income documents, bank statements or financial statements. We ask for these only when they are needed, and we tell you why.

We do not ask for your NRIC number, account numbers or passwords through this website, and we do not run a credit check when you answer the review questions.

5. Why we use it

  • to respond to your enquiry and arrange a conversation
  • to understand your situation and discuss options that may suit it
  • with your agreement, to prepare and submit an application to a bank or other financial institution
  • to keep records of our advice and of what we were asked to do
  • to understand which advertisements and pages lead to enquiries, so we can improve them
  • to meet legal, regulatory and record-keeping requirements that apply to us

6. Your consent, and withdrawing it

We rely on the consent you give when you tick the box before sending your answers, and on consent you give us later in conversation. You can withdraw your consent at any time by telling us on WhatsApp, or by contacting our Data Protection Officer below.

If you withdraw consent, we will stop using your personal data for the purposes you withdraw, and we will tell you what that means in practice. For example, we may no longer be able to continue an application. We may still keep records we are required to keep by law.

7. Who we share it with

  • Banks and other financial institutions, when you ask us to approach them and have agreed to it. We tell you who we intend to approach before we do.
  • Service providers who help us run the site and our messaging, such as our website host and WhatsApp. They act on our instructions.
  • Advertising platforms, in the limited way described in section 8.
  • Professional advisers or authorities, where we are required or permitted by law.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not pass your details to other brokers or lenders for their own marketing.

8. Cookies, pixels and measurement

This site uses browser storage to remember your answers while you are filling them in, and may use the Meta Pixel to measure the performance of our advertisements on Facebook and Instagram. The pixel records events such as a page view, a review being started, and the WhatsApp button being tapped. It does not receive your answers or your name.

We also use Microsoft Clarity to understand how this page is used. It records how visitors scroll, where they tap, and a replay of the visit, so we can see where the page is confusing. Clarity masks the text you type into forms. We use it to improve the page, not to identify you.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can adjust how advertisements are personalised to you in your Facebook or Instagram settings.

9. Where your information is held

Our website host and messaging and advertising providers may store or process data on servers outside Singapore. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your personal data receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA.

10. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only as long as we need them for the purpose you gave them for, or as long as we are required to keep them for legal or regulatory reasons. When an enquiry does not go anywhere and there is no legal reason to keep it, we delete it.

11. Keeping it safe

We use reasonable security arrangements to protect personal data in our care, including access controls on our devices and accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Your rights under the PDPA

  • Access. You can ask what personal data of yours we hold and how it has been used or disclosed in the past year.
  • Correction. You can ask us to correct an error or omission.
  • Withdrawal of consent, as described in section 6.

Write to our Data Protection Officer using the details below. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can. A reasonable fee may apply to an access request, and we will tell you before any fee is charged. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Personal Data Protection Commission at pdpc.gov.sg.

13. Marketing messages and the Do Not Call Registry

We contact you to respond to your enquiry and to carry out what you have asked us to do. We will not add you to a marketing list for other messages unless you have clearly agreed to it. You can tell us to stop contacting you at any time and we will stop.

14. Other websites

We link to Credit Bureau Singapore and to other organisations so you can go to them directly. We are not responsible for how those organisations handle your data. Please read their own privacy policies.

15. Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change materially affects how we use your personal data, we will take reasonable steps to tell you.

17. Contact us
